New Star at the Top for Chelmsford Star Co-operative

Chelmsford Star Co-operative has a new Society President, Ms Susan Sullivan.

Susan was elected by her fellow Directors following outgoing President, Pauline Dodd’s, completion of three full terms, which required her to step down in order to comply with Society rules. Susan is no stranger to positions of responsibility as she is also a Councillor for Springfield North.

Susan said, “I am extremely proud and honoured to have been elected as President, particularly in Chelmsford Star’s historic 150th year. I hope I will be able to actively contribute to the continued success of the Society, and look forward to meeting members and colleagues as I visit our stores.”

Judy Saunders was elected Vice-President.

Other changes included the co-opting of ex-Director Tony Price following the departure of Chris Henton. Chris, having served on the Board of Directors since April 2014, reluctantly resigned from his position as of 10th May 2017 due to personal circumstances. The Board is grateful for Chris’ commitment to the Society during his period of service and is pleased that Chris found his time on the Board a rewarding and enjoyable experience.
