Local Co-op On The Hunt For Dagenham Fundraisers

A co-op food store in Dagenham is on the look-out for local charities or community groups that may be in need of some extra fundraising.

The branch on Wood Lane, Dagenham is owned by an independent co-op society called Chelmsford Star, based in Essex, and it has been set up to specifically support local groups in our area. It is on the hunt for sports teams, PTAs, church groups, schools and nurseries, or any group in Dagenham who may benefit from some extra funds through its Community Card initiative.

Local School Opens New Look Co-op

Pupils from Castledon School in Wickford, along with their mascot cockerpoo Finn, have re-opened their local convenience store on Nevendon Road, following a ribbon cutting ceremony.

The Chelmsford Star Co-op store shut its doors on Saturday 28th January for a major refurbishment, having asked local co-op members and shoppers for their feedback.

Local Co-op Provides Free Support

They included; social media tips, making the most of local radio, getting your group in the paper and available grants for local groups.
