Coffee Mornings:

We hold popular coffee mornings each week in our Braintree and Chelmsford Quadrant department stores, where members receive discounted drinks in our Brambles restaurants. We invite guest speakers most weeks. These might be from local voluntary groups, charities, local authorities and other community organisations.

Attendees must be members of Chelmsford Star, but they can join on the day. Members attending the coffee mornings will receive a voucher for £1 off any drink, and can purchase any other food and drink in the cafe too. We will always pass a collection pot around for our volunteer speakers, so please bring some change to support the local causes.

Coffee mornings start promptly at 10.30am.

If you are interested in being a speaker at one of our coffee mornings please EMAIL US to arrange.

Fish 'n' Chips Quizzes:

These have become very popular and are held monthly, alternating between our Braintree and Chelmsford stores. For just £4.99pp, members will receive entry into the quiz and a generous fish and chip lunch. The quiz start promptly at 11.30am. For the date of the next quiz, check HERE.

Day Trips & Holidays:

These are organised by the Membership and the Travel department, and they'll be promoted in coffee mornings, in our department stores, online and in our Starlight magazines.

They tend to have pick up points from Braintree and Chelmsford. Tickets need booking in advance.
