Pump it up! Baddow Forecourt gets a slick makeover.

Friday Jan 10, 2025

Our busy petrol station forecourt on Baddow Road has received a make-over, receiving a fresh new look, more food-to-go options and a spacious shopping environment. The improvements are the first in a two-stage process, with Texaco on site in coming weeks to improve the external fixtures and fittings.

On hand to help with the reopening were Julia and Hayley from Hearing Help Essex.

Hearing Help Essex, based a few minutes walk away on Parkway, are recent beneficiaries of a Chelmsford Star Co-op Community Fund grant payment. Last year, we donated several thousand pounds to a series of projects designed to reduce isolation for those with hearing impairment. We were so impressed with their achievements, and with some of the advancements in hearing technology that they showed us, that we stayed in touch and looked for ways to work with them again. Julia and Hayley were very pleased to come along and cut the ribbon to officially reopen the store, joined by our President Tony and store manager Abid.

We’ve worked with Texaco to schedule improvements to the forecourt and petrol station exterior.

As well as more food-to-go options, the shop is now easier to navigate.
