Overall Job Purpose
To manage, on a daily basis, the operation of the store in an efficient and effective manner, in accordance with the Society’s policies and rules, with the objective of maximising store profitability.
The Job – Reporting to the Store Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for:
· Managing the store in the managers absence
· Ensuring that the store is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation
· Ensuring that all colleagues are trained to an acceptable standard
· Maintaining appropriate levels of stock availability to customers through effective use of stock and order procedures.
· Ensuring that all store personnel adhere to Society policies and procedures
The Person – you will:
· Be a strong team player with good communication and problem solving skills
· Have previous management experience in food retail
The Rewards:
· Salary £22,000 to £27,000 per annum
